About SwimSafe

The SwimSafe device is a CO2 inflatable flotation device that gets worn around your waist. If you run into trouble, you just pull down on the string which then inflates the inner yellow flotation device within 5 seconds which can then be put around your neck. It does have a backup manual inflator too.

Fully extended, the inner-tube is about three feet long. The belt is designed to give a racer peace of mind during the swim portion of their triathlon. This frees them to focus on swimming for better race results.

Should an emergency arise, SwimSafe is easy to use. Once activated the swimmer is provided 16 pounds of flotation in less than 5 seconds. The belt is lightweight, weighing only 11ounces. Its design is compact and unobtrusive, allowing it to be a racer's constant companion while in the open water. A triathlete can use SwimSafe for their open water swim practice, too.
